“I didn’t start Natural Shines because I wanted a business. I started it because I was tired.”

Tired of trying product after product and watching my skin get worse instead of better. Tired of the acne, dryness, and dark spots that made me feel like nothing was working.

I wanted skincare that actually helped without making my skin worse. So I went looking for an answer—and I found it in the last place I expected: nature.

That journey sent me back to school. I trained in natural skincare formulation and became a licensed esthetician in Texas because I didn’t just want to create skincare. I wanted to truly understand skin, ingredients, and what women’s skin needs.

I began developing formulas and testing them on my own skin. For the first time in years, I watched my skin improve instead of react.

That’s when I realized I wasn’t the only woman searching for an answer.

So many women, especially women with melanin-rich skin, struggle with dark spots, uneven-looking tone, dryness, and other concerns—and too often feel pressured to change or bleach the skin they were born with.

I knew I wanted to create something different.
